AI senior recruiter interview

Take the senior recruiter interview from the candidate's chair: three questions on hiring-manager relationships, passive sourcing and subjective rejections, answered by phone or in your browser.

The 3 questions the AI interviewer asks

Word for word from the demo. In the demo and in a real interview, the AI also asks its own follow-ups from what the candidate says.

  1. 1

“How do you approach building strong, consultative relationships with hiring managers, especially when there are differing opinions on candidate profiles?”

    What a strong answer shows

    • Runs a structured intake: must-haves, deal-breakers and what success looks like
    • Settles disagreements with market data and early calibration profiles
    • Keeps a steady cadence and holds both sides to agreed timelines
  2. 2

“What are your preferred sourcing tools and techniques for identifying passive candidates, and how do you measure their effectiveness?”

    What a strong answer shows

    • Names specific tools and techniques, such as Boolean search and referral programs
    • Personalizes outreach and tests messages instead of sending templates at volume
    • Measures each channel by response rate, interviews generated and hires
  3. 3

“Imagine a hiring manager is consistently rejecting qualified candidates due to subjective reasons. How would you address this situation and guide them towards a more objective assessment?”

    What a strong answer shows

    • Asks for specific, job-related reasons for each rejection, in writing
    • Brings the manager back to agreed criteria and a shared scorecard
    • Uses pipeline data to show the cost, and escalates tactfully if needed

What this demo shows

The third question, about subjective rejections, describes the problem a written scorecard is meant to address. When you run an AI interview for senior recruiters, each skill on your scorecard has a written grading guide, fixed before anyone applies and the same for every candidate, and name, accent, age, appearance and location are excluded from scoring by design. The demo itself is a conversation: the AI interviewer asks its own follow-ups and answers questions you put to it, by phone or in the browser.

Common questions

Does the AI decide which recruiters we hire?

No. Hyrr does not make the hiring decision. The AI interviewer gathers the evidence and the scores are computed against your scorecard; your team reads the report, with the evidence quoted for each skill, and decides who moves forward.

Can I tailor the interview to our recruiting team's needs?

Yes. Write your own questions and scorecard, or start from material you already have: a job can be generated by AI from a description or imported from a URL, PDF, Word, Excel or CSV. Resume screening then uses the same rubric and pass bar as the interview.

What does a real interview cost?

$6 per completed interview, whatever its length. There are no seats, no platform fee and no annual minimum, and recruiters, hiring managers and admins are unlimited. Candidates who never start, or who leave before the first question, are not billed. A new account starts with 60 minutes of interview time free.
